About the Finance team at G+T
With a presence in each of our three offices, our friendly, supportive and high performing Finance team is made up of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing Specialists, Collections team, Practice Managers, a Management Account, a System Analyst and Payroll.
About the role
As our new Payroll Officer, you will report directly to our Payroll Manager. This role will see you working across key areas of the Payroll function while liaising with a variety of business areas across the firm. Working in our friendly and well-respected Finance team, your main responsibilities will be:
* Preparation and distribution of salaries for employees
* Processing Payroll Tax, PAYG and Superannuation payments
* Assisting the Payroll Manager with Partner drawings and journals
* Maintaining employee records in the firm's payroll system
* Monthly reporting and reconciliation of payroll, payroll tax, superannuation payments and authorised deductions
* Approval and calculation of new starters and staff changes in SuccessFactors
* Monitor shared inbox and perform any ad hoc duties as required
About you
Our ideal person will have some or all of the following:
* 3 years payroll experience preferably with some experience in legal/professional services payroll management
* Experience using Preceda and/or Aurion payroll desirable
* Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
* Advanced Excel skills and proficient in Microsoft Office
* Excellent time and priority management
* Exposure to computerised financial systems and practice management software (Elite)
* TAFE or other tertiary studies in a payroll related area (ideal)
