We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Manager to lead the Townsville Work Health and Safety Compliance and Field Services team of inspectors and administration staff. This role is responsible for enhancing service delivery, managing resources, and fostering a high-performing and safe workplace.

As the Operations Manager, you will work autonomously and lead the Townsville team within the WHS Compliance and Field Services directorate.
About The Team
Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) enforces work health and safety laws, investigates workplace fatalities and serious injuries, prosecutes breaches of legislation, and educates employees and employers on their legal obligations.
We aim to improve work health and safety in Queensland by ensuring compliance with laws, investigating fatalities and injuries, educating workplaces, and taking legal action when laws are broken.
Your Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include stakeholder engagement, community education on safety, and ensuring compliance within a regulatory framework. Experience in applying workplace health and safety protocols in community enforcement or similar regulatory enforcement is highly regarded.
