PRIMARY DETAIL Our Student360 Program is seeking two Senior Business Analysts ( Functional Consultant ) to join a dynamic and complex digital transformation team. This role requires a deep understanding of both business processes and technical systems & data management. Salary Package: From $119,056 to $132,475 (HEW Level 8) plus 17% employer’s superannuation contribution and annual leave loading. Appointment Type: Two f ull time, fixed term until 31 st December 2026 Location: Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus, Dharug land North Ryde The Role s Digital Transformation is one of the six fundamental commitments of the Macquarie University Operating Plan: to embrace emerging technologies to better connect, engage, and collaborate. The core focus of the University’s digital transformation strategy is enabling the objectives of Students First through five key focus areas, seeking to drive excellent experiences and outcomes in every dimension of students’ interactions with the University. The Student 360 Program will deliver a student CRM (Salesforce) platform that will realise our ambitions for end-to-end student engagement and service delivery, and allow the University to: Provide a unified, 360-degree view of each student that will enhance our ability to engage with them (including privacy protections and controls); Support the transformation of business processes, providing identification of opportunities for improved services to students and support service delivery; Enable context-specific services and personalisation to successfully support students throughout their journey; Provide a contemporary technology platform that can evolve with the changing needs and aspirations of the University and to truly connect with our students as individuals; Gain insights and analytics across the whole student journey, to provide better metrics and inform improvements of University services and experience; and Replace and decommission legacy systems. In this role, you will play a critical role in designing and delivering system functionality and capability in Salesforce ( Core, Data Cloud, Education Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Marketing Cloud ). This role requires a deep understanding of higher education business processes and strong Salesforce product knowledge. Key responsibilities: Collaborate with business analysts, subject matter experts, and end users to gather and analyse business requirements. T ranslate business requirements into functional and non-functional specifications. Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring effective communication and understanding of business requirements, technical solutions and business benefits. Support the design and development of scalable Salesforce solution s across Salesforce Core, Data Cloud, Education Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Marketing Cloud. Configure and customise Salesforce applications to align with business processes, best practices, and program vision. Support the development and execution of test plans and test cases to ensur e system testing accurately validate s whether the system meets business requirements. Support change management and training activitie s to facilitate process and end user adoption. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation to support scope and requirements traceability, change control, adoption of future state processes, continuous improvement, and ongoing supportability of the platform. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, data models, and process and data flows. Provide post-implementation support and monitor system performance. Stay updated with the latest Salesforce features and best practices, and recommend process improvements. About You You are an experienced Salesforce Functional Consultant with expertise in Salesforce Education Cloud (or other Industry Cloud) and/or Salesforce M arketing Cloud. Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce implementation projects, ideally across multiple industries or sectors. Proven experience in designing end-to-end Salesforce solutions that drive business outcomes. Proficiency in Salesforce configuration and integration tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in both business and technical contexts. In-depth understanding of digital transformation concepts and methodologies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Proven experience supporting system and user acceptance testing, and change management and training activities, to facilitate successful system implementation and process adoption. Proven ability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation to support project delivery, continuous improvement and ongoing supportability of the system solution. Working knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies (e.g., Scrum, SAFe ). Certification in agile methodologies ( e.g., Certified Scrum Master, Certified Product Owner ) is highly desirable.
