About the Role- Senior Accountant
Based at the Gold Coast Airport, we have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and detail‑driven Senior Accountant to support our Food & Beverage operations. Reporting directly to the Country Finance Director, this role plays a critical part in delivering accurate financial reporting, analysis, compliance, and operational support. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, multi‑site F&B / Hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide daily financial and analytical support to the F&B Operations team.
* Support month‑end close processes including preparation of P&L statements, balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany transactions injunction with our SSC team.
* Deliver timely, accurate financial reports that inform business decisions and operational performance.
* Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts and oversee cash management activities.
* Maintain the fixed asset register, including depreciation schedules and disposals injunction with our SSC team.
* Manage tax compliance requirements such as BAS lodgments.
* Coordinate monthly payroll reporting in collaboration with the Payroll Manager.
* Oversee payment interfaces and ensure integrity of payment systems.
* Support internal and external audits and contribute to ad‑hoc financial analysis and reporting requests.
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting and ongoing management reporting to support operational planning.
Experience & Specific Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
* CPA or CA qualification
* Minimum 4 - 5 years of experience in accounting preferably within retail, Hospitality or consumer goods industries
* Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Working exposure to ERP systems preferably SAP
* Strong proficiency in excel and ability to work with data
