Focus of the role
As a Security - Senior Lead for the Privileged Access Management domain, you will play a critical role in ensuring that Telstra provides an industry leading secure ecosystem for employees and customers. You use your strong people skills, business experience and extensive technical expertise in cyber security and technology to lead a highly skilled team of security specialists.
You will use your well-developed people skills, combined with your deep expertise and experience in multiple areas of the Privileged Access Management domain and technology to deliver against the following responsibilities:
* Solution implementation - Deliver quality end-to-end systems that meet the user needs (e.g. operational requirements, cost and schedule constraints, performance requirements, training needs, support). Work with delivery partners to integrate multiple technologies, platforms, and business processes to ensure the delivery of the end-to-end solution. Manage integration and resolve issues related to inter-working between components.
* Provide subject matter expertise - Provide the technology team with knowledge of complex end-to-end systems and processes for a business initiative on an as-needed basis. Provide a single point design authority for the life-cycle of nominated systems.
* Lifecycle management - Develop and implement plans to ensure the system meets capacity, performance, and availability criteria. Work with the technology manager to appropriately forecast investment and manage to defined budgets. Identify and drive product unit cost reduction through simplification, rationalisation, and new technology. Assist with the management of technology vendors and substantial technology investment
* Align systems with product and technology strategy - Understand product and technology roadmaps and assist in developing solutions that both align with the roadmaps and leverage opportunities from evolving and future technologies.
* Manage stakeholders - Manage expectations of key business stakeholders (including internal and external customers), drive change, and negotiate successful outcomes within complex environments.
* Manage vendors - Manage vendor delivery and reviews with support of the vendor management team.
* Identify risks, issues and mitigating actions - Identify risks and issues in deploying system solutions and develop or recommend solutions to mitigate these risks and issues. Manage agreed mitigation or contingency plans to completion.
* Knowledge management - Develop extensive knowledge of new and emerging systems, including leading industry (e.g. best of breed) and competitor solutions. Contribute to the development and maintenance of the corporate memory / database for the business and area of expertise. Add to key business, program management and technology processes based on experiences gained.
* Comply with standards and processes - Comply with all relevant company processes (e.g. AGILE /Technology Delivery Process, network change processes) and ensure all deliverables meet or exceed defined quality standards.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for the following skills and experiences:
* 10+ years of leadership and /or information security experience in managing a high-performance team with focus on Identity and/or Privileged Access Management.
* Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts and best practices.
* Expertise with Identity and Access Management, Privileged Access Management, and in particular with CyberArk or similar technologies.
* Experience in the design, build, implementation and upgrade of PAM solution in on-premise or hybrid environments
* Experience integrating with PAM technologies such as Cyberark with different system components, e.g. Operating Systems, Databases, Network devices, Security appliances, Applications, Cloud services, etc.
* Exposure to, and experience configuring, other related toolsets including Hardware Security Modules, Microsoft AD, Splunk, RSA, SecureAuth.
* Understanding of network fundamentals.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Experience in building, maintaining, and operating applications and ensuring the availability, performance, and security of the systems.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Knowledge of the latest security trends, threats, and technologies and ability to implement effective cybersecurity measures.
* Relevant Cyber security certification, e.g. CompTIA Security+, CISSP is desirable.
