About the Role:
The Graduate Nurse Program Coordinator oversees the recruitment, professional growth, and overall management of participants in the Graduate Nurse Program, including both Registered Nurse and Enrolled Nurse streams.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Nursing and Midwifery, the Graduate Nurse Program Coordinator will be required use their advanced clinical and education knowledge to deliver, support and develop effective education through the use of adult learning principles. They will also be required to provide support, leadership and wellbeing support to the Graduate Nurse Program Team.
The role will actively seek to build cross-functional relationships for inter-professional education opportunities at North Canberra Hospital while maintaining a focus on Graduate Nurse Program Coordination and support.
This role will need to demonstrate a substantial advanced practice experience in nursing and will apply a systems approach to education programs and units of instruction. A demonstrated excellence in presentation skills; combining sound analytical and evidence-based content with clear explanation is also required. This role will also support a defined area within the National Quality in Health Care Standards.
The Graduate Nurse Program Coordinator will also be required to assist with the responsibilities of the Learning and Development team including but not limited to mandatory training and orientation of hospital staff.
