The opportunity
We’re seeking a hands-on Accounts Officer to support day-to-day finance operations across the Group. Based in East Fremantle, you’ll work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and site finance teams, with exposure to multiple entities and operations. You’ll gain development opportunities in reconciliations, month-end, taxation support and system optimisation (Xero + Employment Hero).
What you’ll do
Accounts Payable (Xero)
- Process and pay supplier invoices across Group entities (incl. property/development).
- Prepare and review site payment runs prior to CFO approval.
- Maintain supplier master data and support AP staff with reconciliations.
- Uphold strong controls over supplier payments and ABA file uploads.
Accounts Receivable (Xero)
- Raise invoices (leases, management fees, rentals) and manage collections.
- Liaise across entities to support cash flow and debtor management.
Reconciliations & Close
- Assist with weekly, monthly and quarterly reconciliations (bank, balance sheet, intercompany, recharge accounts, credit/debit cards).
- Support month-end and year-end close, including journals and adjustments.
Other
- Help maintain plant & equipment registers and fixed asset processes.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer.
- Document and improve finance processes and controls.
- Support the ongoing implementation and optimisation of Xero.
- Pitch in with additional finance/administration tasks as needed.
What you’ll bring
1–3 years’ experience in accounts payable (multi-entity environment ideal).
Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence with finance systems.
High attention to detail, accuracy and follow-through.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Clear, professional communication and collaborative working style.
Accounting Certificate IV/Diploma (or progress toward).
Exposure to ERP or system implementation projects.
Experience with Reckon, Xero or Employment Hero.
An interest in broadening into reconciliations, month-end and analysis.
