We are seeking to establish a pool of Teacher - Education Support for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Note: This position is being advertised as part of a recruitment pilot designed to simplify the application process for teachers. A mandatory CV template is provided for use. Application requirements include character-limited responses to address only 2 Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) domains at application stage. The School
Students at Leeming Senior High School Education Support Centre (SHS ESC) come from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds — a feature which enriches the learning environment. The Role
Suitable applicants should use effective teaching strategies and classroom management to enhance student learning and wellbeing. They should be flexible, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a commitment to professional learning and active participation in collaborative team planning. They will plan, program and assess using an integrated curriculum, and, ideally, have highly effective teaching practices, the ability to self-reflect, and a willingness to seek continuous improvement.
We are seeking applicants who are hardworking and knowledgeable about a range of disabilities and the implementation of strategies to support and enhance individual development in all areas. Education Support teachers will ideally positively manage a team of education assistants to create a safe and supportive learning environment, engage with the school community, and work with families, therapists and external agencies to improve student outcomes. Suitable applicants will preferably understand what drives student behaviours and possess excellent behaviour management skills and techniques to support student needs.

Eligibility
To work with us, you must:
* Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment. More information about employment eligibility is on our website.
* Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start.
* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
