Job Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled legal professional to undertake litigation on behalf of the Department of Police and Emergency Management. The successful candidate will be part of the Safe at Home whole-of-government strategy for preventing, reducing, and responding to incidents of family violence in Tasmania.
The Legal Practitioner will be responsible for providing critical legal advice to members of DPFEM and handling challenging work experiences, including summary court advocacy.
* Provide expert legal services and support to the department
* Conduct complex litigation proceedings
* Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals
Essential Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require admission as a Barrister or practitioner of the Supreme Court of Tasmania under the provisions of the Legal Profession Act 2007, with more than 2 years relevant post-admission experience.
