Join Us as a Business Support Officer Are you super organised, great with people, and love keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes? We’re looking for an experienced Business Support Officer to join our team at the ESA Resource Centre. In this role, you’ll be the go-to person for all things admin and logistics. You’ll help keep our operations on track and make sure everything from inventory to emails is handled with care and efficiency. What You’ll Be Doing Reporting to the Assistant Director, Logistics and Incident Support, and working closely with the Director, you will: Be a friendly face (or voice) for anyone who needs to interact with the ESA Resource Centre – whether it’s over the phone, by email, or in person. Keep the Resource Centre team organised by managing the shared mailbox and calendar, handling invoices, and making sure emails and enquiries are sorted quickly and professionally. Support our ESA internal systems and tools – if something needs fixing or updating, you’re on it. Work with our procurement team to make sure purchases and invoices are processed smoothly. Help with purchasing by researching and preparing documents for items we need (especially the tricky, non-standard stuff). Pitch in with general warehouse tasks and help guide newer team members. Keep our records tidy and up to date (as per the Territory Records Act 2002 ). Draft up reports, emails, and briefing notes when needed. Look for ways to improve how we do things – we love fresh ideas! Eligibility/Other Requirements: Previous experience in providing administrative support in a high-paced, dynamic environment is highly desirable. To be eligible for permanent or temporary employment within the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident or hold a valid work visa. If an officer no longer holds a visa that permits them to work in Australia, their employment with the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) will be terminated. Driver’s licence Class C is essential.
