We're seeking experienced and motivated Senior Storage Infrastructure Engineers to support the delivery of high‐priority ICT initiatives within a major Australian Government department, including work across artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.

About the role
This role is suited to a Senior Storage Engineer with proven experience working in large, complex ICT environments. You will be responsible for the design, deployment, configuration, management and optimisation of enterprise storage platforms across physical and virtual layers, while helping shape the future direction of storage and data platforms.
Key duties and responsibilities
* Deploy, configure, manage and tune enterprise storage systems across physical and virtual layers
* Deploy, configure and manage Storage Area Network (SAN) switches as required
* Support and shape the adoption of new and emerging storage and data platform technologies
* Produce high‐quality design, build and operations documentation
* Deliver operational handover documentation and knowledge‐sharing sessions
* Mentor and support junior team members
* Collaborate closely with infrastructure, platform and architecture teams
Application requirements
* Demonstrated experience designing, administering, tuning and troubleshooting enterprise storage platforms, including one or more of:
* Dell Data Domain
* Brocade Fabric Switches and SANnav
* Scality Artesca
* Proven ability to produce design, build and operations documentation for storage solutions
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present to stakeholders and coach technical staff
* Experience or knowledge of Veeam Backup and Replication
