Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Officer to deliver high-level project coordination, governance and reporting functions within a dynamic operational directorate. This role plays a critical part in strengthening data, reporting and information governance capabilities, ensuring operational readiness and supporting financial coordination and compliance activities.
The successful candidate will bring strong analytical capability, experience in information governance and reporting frameworks, and the ability to coordinate complex work programs across multiple stakeholders.
Skills & Responsibilities
1. Lead and coordinate project activities to deliver outcomes within defined timeframes, including planning, risk management, tracking and reporting.
2. Develop and maintain information governance frameworks, operational reporting tools, data definitions and quality controls to ensure consistent, accurate and repeatable reporting.
3. Coordinate financial and performance reporting processes, monitor expenditure against budgets, and contribute to continuous improvement and financial reform initiatives.
4. Develop governance documentation including policies, directorate instructions, guidance materials, registers and operational reference documents aligned to public sector standards.
5. Build strong stakeholder relationships across finance, data, people and operational teams, facilitate workshops, and provide clear advice on project progress, risks and dependencies.
