Fairhaven, was founded in 1962 by a group of families on the Central Coast wanting to provide education services to their children living with disability We are now Fairhaven Services Limited, a non-profit company limited by guarantee, a registered charity and a NDIS registered service provider providing various services to the Community and Businesses, based at Point Clare. We are the largest employer of people living with disability on the Central Coast, proud of our innovative, best practice services for people living with disability and are currently looking to Fairhaven 2030 in our Strategic Plan. About the role
Fairhaven Services Ltd are looking for passionate community members with a strong finance and business background to join our skill-based Board as Treasurer. This is a voluntary, independent Director role that also carries responsibility for financial oversight at the Board level.
You need to have significant experience in financial management, commercial decision-making, and Board experience. The Treasurer is critical in ensuring the financial sustainability of Fairhaven, You must have integrity, and understand the compliance requirements of Fairhaven Services Ltd. You must be able to work closely with the CEO and CFO to support strategic decision-making and robust financial oversight.
Our Board members are dynamic and forward thinking leaders who represent Fairhaven Services Ltd in the community. We carry the legal responsibility for the organisation's governance and performance.
We meet monthly, and you are expected to attend these meetings in person and be able to contribute actively to the governance and strategic direction of Fairhaven.

Skills and experience
Applications are welcome for volunteer Treasurer. You must have experience in finance, and please address your other capabilities in one or more of the following domains:
Essential :
· Financial and Commercial Management
· CPA or CA qualification
· Board experience
· Business and governance
Desirable:
· Service delivery and operations in the NFP and Community sector
· Property Development and Management
· National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
· Business Systems implementation
