Project Manager - Colac Otway Shire Council
The Project Manager will join the Program Delivery team to oversee the planning and delivery of civil and road projects. Reporting to the Project Management Coordinator, the role will manage projects in line with Council's project management processes, ensuring compliance with governance, contract and procurement requirements. The position will also provide advice and support across the Program Delivery team, contribute to continuous improvement of project management practices, and ensure that projects meet safety, budget and quality standards.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the planning and delivery of civil and road projects within the Program Delivery team.
* Manage projects in line with Council's project management processes, ensuring governance, contract and procurement compliance.
* Provide advice and support across the Program Delivery team.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of project management practices.
* Ensure projects meet safety, budget and quality standards.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience as a project manager with a proven track record delivering civil and road projects.
* Strong skills in contract administration, stakeholder engagement, and construction management.
* Sound knowledge of relevant codes, standards and regulations.
* Excellent organisational skills, ability to manage competing priorities, and ability to negotiate with contractors and consultants.
* Qualications in civil engineering, project management or construction management are desirable.
* Experience working within local government or complex stakeholder environments is desirable.
