ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking a suitably qualified Vocal Music Tutor / Vocal Coach (Studio Tuition) to join our Studio Tuition Team.
Commencing Term or as soon as practicable thereafter), the successful applicant will deliver high-quality one-on-one vocal tuition to students across our Primary and Secondary campuses. Lessons are scheduled predominantly during school terms, and the role is best suited to someone who is available before and after school hours during term time.
Our individual tuition program complements the College's curriculum and co-curricular Music offerings and provides students with personalised instruction designed to strengthen technique, build confidence and expand musical expression.
The role may be offered under one of two engagement models, depending on the successful applicant's preference and suitability:
1. Independent contractor, engaged by the College, with tuition fees billed directly to parents (ABN and relevant insurances required); or
2. Casual employee, paid directly by the College in accordance with applicable industrial instruments.
ABOUT YOU
You are a passionate and skilled vocal tutor or coach who enjoys working with young people and can build strong rapport while maintaining high professional standards.
You will have relevant qualifications in music, vocal performance, vocal pedagogy or music education, or equivalent professional experience.
You will have experience teaching students across a range of ages and abilities, and ideally have familiarity with exam preparation (e.g. AMEB or equivalent), auditions and performance coaching.
You will be able to meet the requirements of either engagement model, including holding (or being willing to obtain) a QLD Blue Card.
Applicants seeking engagement as an independent contractor must hold an ABN and appropriate professional insurances.
