Generalist Lawyer Position
This role involves working as a legal professional at a law firm in Ballarat, Victoria. You will manage your own files and provide legal services across various areas including family law, property law, and wills and estates.
* Family Law: parenting and property matters, divorce, binding financial agreements, child support, intervention orders
* Property Law: residential and commercial conveyancing, contract negotiation and advice, settlements, leases
* Wills & Estates: creating wills, managing powers of attorney, advanced care directives, probate, estate administration
The ideal candidate should have 1+ years of post-admission experience as a lawyer, admission to practice law in Australia, and be comfortable working across multiple legal areas or willing to grow into these areas. Key skills include confidence, humility, excellent communication, calmness in messy situations, and ability to follow through without supervision.
The successful candidate should be self-motivated and possess strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines. They should also have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
