About Our Client
Our client is a growing property group that is shaping a new standard in residential living, with a focus on quality, service, and community across key urban locations in Melbourne.
Job Description
Accounts Payable (AP):
- Process invoices, EFTs, and credit card payments with appropriate coding and authorisation
- Conduct monthly and weekly payment runs, and manage the creditor database
- Respond to internal and external payment queries
- Assist with month-end closing and reporting tasks
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Process daily, weekly, and monthly receipts
- Assist with rental payment receipting and debtor account maintenance
- Complete reconciliations and support the operational property teams
- Maintain AR records and support month-end processes
Cashflow & Banking
- Monitor and advise on funding needs
- Prepare and reconcile bank accounts and support the payment approval process
Compliance, Process & Systems
- Ensure AP/AR practices meet tax and regulatory standards
- Identify and support opportunities for process improvement
- Maintain accurate records and uphold compliance with internal policies
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Accounts Officer Should Have
- Demonstrated experience in a similar accounts role
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and time management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach and willingness to improve processes
- Experience in the property sector or residential operations is a plus
