ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts & Finance Officer
to oversee and manage all aspects of our accounting and financial operations. This role is ideal for a highly organised finance professional who can work independently, bring strong analytical skills, and ensure the financial integrity of the business.
This position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the company's financial health and strategic decision-making.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* General Accounting
* Accounts Payable
* Accounts Receivable
* Payroll & Superannuation
* Banking & Reconciliation
* BAS, GST & Compliance
* Financial Reporting
* End of year & Tax support
* Systems & Process Management
CAPABILITIES, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential:
* Proven bookkeeping or financial officer experience (3+ years preferred).
* Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax compliance.
* Proficiency in accounting software Xero
* Excellent Excel and financial reporting skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
Desired:
* Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping.
* Experience working within small sized businesses.
* Familiarity with inventory, job costing, or project accounting.
SELECTION CRITERIA
1. Demonstrated experience in Accounts & Finance
2. Proficiency in Accounting Software - Xero
3. High Level of Accuracy and attention to detail
4. Strong Organisational Skills
5. Financial Reporting Skills and knowledge of Payroll & ATO Compliance
