About the role As a Cross-Solutions Advisory Lead, you will work directly with C-suite executives—CEOs, CFOs, COOs, CIOs—to assess their technology landscape, interpret strategic intent, and develop roadmaps that create momentum into delivery. While you'll engage at the highest levels on business direction and digital ambition, the work centres on making strategy actionable: understanding current state, identifying practical interventions, building business cases, and shaping programs that Avanade can deliver. You will be measured on delivery excellence and on your ability to create pull-through to Avanade's broader capabilities. Success is building enduring client relationships and generating sustained engagement across solution areas. Key Responsibilities Lead advisory engagements with C-level executives across industries, assessing technology, applications, processes and capabilities to develop transformation roadmaps with full stakeholder alignment Translate high-level strategy into operational objectives that account for current realities, constraints and regulatory requirements Connect client needs to Avanade's solution portfolio—identifying where Data & AI, Business Applications, Modern Workplace, Cloud, Security and other capabilities can drive value Facilitate executive conversations that cut through complexity and build consensus for action Develop business cases, roadmaps and plans that create clear paths from advisory into delivery Coach and mentor team members, supporting their development as consultants and advisors Build strategic relationships across client organisations that sustain and expand engagement over time Collaborate with Microsoft account teams and other Avanade leaders to identify and pursue opportunities. About you You have deep experience helping organisations navigate technology-driven change. You may have built that expertise in a specific industry or across a portfolio of sectors—either way, you bring pattern recognition that allows you to move fluidly between contexts. You're as comfortable discussing business model implications with a CEO as you are reviewing architecture options with a CTO. You know that mid-market executives often span multiple domains, and you adapt your approach accordingly. You understand that advisory work succeeds when it creates momentum—when clients move from insight to action, and when engagements expand because the work delivers value. Skills & Experience 10 years in IT and digital transformation strategy, architecture or operating models—whether in consulting, industry or a combination Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-level stakeholders across functions (not limited to technology) Highly valued Experience with mid-market organisations or scaling solutions for this segment Familiarity with the Microsoft ecosystem and cloud-enabled transformation Existing relationships within Microsoft or the broader partner ecosystem Postgraduate qualifications (MBA, PhD or equivalent) alongside strong practitioner experience Track record of translating strategic direction into practical, deliverable programs Experience with transformation road-mapping, business case development and planning customer-centred change Strong commercial awareness and understanding of how advisory work connects to broader delivery Critical and creative thinking applied to complex business problems Excellent written and oral communication skills People leadership, coaching and talent development experience .
