Electrical Field Engineer Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Field Engineer to join our Maritime business at Osborne in SA, reporting to the Liaison Engineering Team Lead.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity that offers the chance to work on exciting and meaningful projects that contribute to the delivery of significant outcomes for Australia.
About the Role
As an Electrical Field Engineer, you will serve as the primary point of contact, providing expert engineering guidance to support production and trade activities within your area of expertise.
Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting technical investigations, root cause analysis, and engineering assessments to resolve complex issues.
* Liaising with subject matter experts to gather input on affected systems and equipment to inform decision making.
* Providing engineering analysis and recommendations to the Technical Authority to ensure the as-built product meets design intent.
* SUPPORTING the translation of system and equipment design intent into a manufactural solution and incorporating changes as required to enable production.
* Providing a link in the communication process between Production and wider business in the provision of the issue management process.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A degree, advanced diploma, or diploma in electrical engineering.
* The ability to interpret CAD models, detailed design drawings, and technical documents including requirements, fabrication or assembly drawings, and objective quality evidence.
* The ability to use agreed on standards and engineering first principles to resolve engineering problems and issues of a complex nature within the domain of expertise.
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills along with excellent customer relations skills.
* Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain.
* Eligibility to be cleared for international traffic in arms (ITAR) regulations.
