Overview
Lead Dynamics 365 Engineer needed for a central role in a multi-year transformation program. You will provide technical leadership and hands-on expertise to ensure Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned to the program vision. You will balance coding with mentoring, guiding integrations, reviewing designs, and ensuring squads deliver at a high standard.
What you'll be doing
Providing technical leadership across multiple squads (platform, automation, integration)
Programming in C# for Dynamics 365 development, particularly plugins, custom workflows, and web resources
Using JavaScript for client-side scripting in forms and web resources
Customising entities, forms, views, charts, and dashboards
Configuring business rules, workflows, and business process flows
Mentoring developers and supporting consistency across delivery teams
Reviewing technical designs to ensure alignment with patterns, governance, and best practice
Supporting release management through code reviews, merges, and DevOps troubleshooting
Collaborating with solution architects, business analysts, and project managers
Providing production support by triaging issues and assisting with fixes
Integrating Dynamics with other systems using APIs, Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, or custom solutions
Extending Dynamics with PowerApps, building reports with Power BI, and automating with Power Automate
Managing SQL Server operations for queries, reporting, and data management
Applying UX design principles to improve usability and adoption
Using tools like XrmToolBox for troubleshooting and optimisation
What we're looking for
Deep experience with Dynamics 365 modules (Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Operations, etc.)
Strong C# development skills for plugins, custom workflows, and web resources
Proficiency with JavaScript for client-side scripting
Experience leading and mentoring technical teams in complex delivery environments
Skilled in customisation and configuration across Dynamics 365
Integration experience with APIs, Azure services, and third-party tools
Solid knowledge of Power Platform (PowerApps, Power BI, Power Automate)
Proficiency with SQL Server and DevOps pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub, Visual Studio Online)
Understanding of Dynamics 365 security model, roles, and governance
Collaborative communicator with the ability to influence across disciplines
Familiarity with Azure services that complement Dynamics (Azure Functions, Azure AD)
Location
Brisbane preferred, with openness to Sydney or Melbourne for highly skilled candidates. Hybrid work arrangements available; this is not a remote role.

Contract details
12-month contract with extension potential
Location: Brisbane preferred; Sydney and Melbourne also considered
