Senior Clinical Leader Position
This is a key leadership role within our mental health service, requiring a senior staff specialist psychiatrist to provide medical leadership and work collaboratively with a committed team to develop and maintain high-quality mental health services.
The position will involve strong clinical leadership, medical expertise, and experience in teaching and quality improvement. The ideal candidate will be able to model high standards of professional behavior, communicate effectively, and work harmoniously with colleagues and consumers.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strong clinical leadership and medical expertise to the mental health service
* Work collaboratively with a committed team to develop and maintain high-quality mental health services
* Contribute to the development of strategic plans and initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes
* Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to the implementation of best practices
* Model high standards of professional behavior and lead by example
Requirements:
* Registration or eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
* Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or equivalent specialist recognition
* Strong knowledge of principles of clinical governance and quality improvement processes
* Demonstrated clinical leadership experience at a senior level
* Proven capacity and/or experience in providing effective high-quality service in psychiatry
