Are you a logistics professional ready to make a strategic impact in Defence aviation? This role contributes to the sustainment of one of Australia's most advanced airborne capabilities, working on either the P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft or the MC-55A Peregrine. As a Logistics Specialist - Sustainment, you will coordinate logistics, drive sustainment planning and operational readiness, and collaborate with Defence stakeholders to ensure the aircraft remains mission-ready while shaping long‑term capability outcomes through agile logistics and supply chain strategies.
Relocation allowance may be available, subject to terms and conditions.
Responsibilities
* Leading logistics sustainment activities for either the P-8A Poseidon or the MC-55A Peregrine within the Surveillance and Response System Program Office (SRSPO)
* Developing and executing forward sustainment plans, with a focus on supply chain resilience and inventory optimisation
* Partnering with Defence stakeholders to align logistics support with operational requirements
* Managing contracts and coordinating logistics and engineering inputs for aircraft upgrades and capability enhancements
* Supporting Performance Based Management Unit (PBMU) operations and ensuring logistics alignment with broader capability goals
* Responding to emerging sustainment requirements with agility and initiative
Qualifications
* A background in Defence logistics or sustainment delivery within a CASG Aircraft Sustainment System Program Office (SPO)
* Proven experience in coordinating complex logistics sustainment tasks
* Ability to contribute to strategic sustainment and capability planning
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills; experience working with Surveillance and Response Group (SRG) is highly regarded
* Financial acumen to support logistics-driven sustainment decisions
* Must hold an NV1 AGSVA Security Clearance and be an Australian citizen
