Kindergarten to Year 6 serving the West Wollongong Parish with an enrolment of approximately 368 pupils.
Location: St Therese Catholic Parish Primary School, West Wollongong
A temporary part time position commencing 20 July 2026 until 17 December 2026.
This position exists to support the delivery of quality learning and teaching. This classroom-based position requires you to work collaboratively with teachers, providing assistance in all areas of student learning and management.
ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA
The preferred applicant demonstrates the following criteria:
* A commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
* Ability to support children’s individual learning in the classroom.
* Understanding of and ability to work with students with diverse needs.
* Ability to interact positively with students.
* Technical competence in appropriate technologies.
DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA
* Previous experience in similar settings.
* Experience with the PB4L framework.
The following GENERAL CAPABILITIES are applicable to the role:
* Well developed written and oral communication skills.
* Well-developed interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Certificate III in Classroom Support or equivalent
* Current Senior First Aid Certificate
WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE
This role is classified as a child related work and therefore a working with children clearance is required prior to your commencement with us.
