**The Meat & Wine Co Bligh Street Sydney **are looking for experienced and dedicated Sommelier to become part of their professional and hard-working team.
Our Bligh Street restaurant forms part of a vibrant, passionate and dynamic national team. Established in 2000, **The Meat & Wine Co** prides itself in providing an exceptional and unique steakhouse dining experience.
**The Meat & Wine Co** has a unique atmosphere and ambiance which is dedicated to our African heritage whilst still having reference to Australian surroundings.
**The successful applicants will have**:
- Enthusiasm and passion to provide exceptional customer service
- Demonstrated Service and beverage experience, interest, skill and success in the restaurant industry
- Advanced levels of wine, spirit and beverage knowledge
- Effective planning and time management skills
- Problem solving and decision making skills
- Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal
- Thrives under pressure whilst maintaining the highest level of service
- Previous A La Carte experience
- Experienced in up selling beverages and offering recommendations
- Impeccable presentation, grooming and communication standards
- Willingness to undergo our specified training program
- Flexible availability over a 7-day rotating roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays
- WSET Level 2 or equivalent
- Certificate III in Hospitality and/or at least 18 - 24 months experience.
