This is a recruitment pool for permanent and fixed-term full-time and part-time appointments with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency. We currently have one permanent full-time position and one fixed-term full-time position available, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency. Job share arrangements may be considered.

About Our Team:

The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in Western Australia offer support, advice and treatment to children and adolescents from birth to 18 years who are experiencing mental health challenges. CAHS helps children grow and thrive and we offer these same opportunities to the nurses who join our team. Our team-oriented approach allows for extensive clinical upskilling, and leadership development opportunities for nurses of all levels.

About the Role

You will provide a high-level, comprehensive, and confidential administrative and secretarial service to the Director, Head of Department, and other officers within the CAMHS Corporate Office. You will also support the Finance and Business Analyst with regional facilities management.

As part of the CAMHS team, you will work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality mental health services for children and adolescents. We offer flexible part-time and full-time shifts, along with opportunities for professional development and training.

What You'll Bring

- Proven ability to deliver high-level, confidential administrative and secretarial support to senior leadership.
- Experience supporting regional facilities and asset management functions.
- Strong communication skills to manage correspondence, reception duties, and direct enquiries effectively.
- Competence in coordinating executive meetings, including preparing agendas, minutes, and documentation.
- Attention to detail in maintaining records, HR paperwork, and staff rosters.
- Proficiency in data entry, reporting, and managing information systems.
- Ability to process requisitions, orders, and invoices, and assist with financial reconciliation.
- Organisational skills to support events, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance activities.
- Capability to prepare presentation materials and maintain up-to-date policies and procedures.

Eligibility to Apply

To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).

Other Conditions

WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. WA Health policies require applicants to undertake criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process. Referees may also be asked to comment on an applicant's integrity and past demonstration of ethical behaviour.

While this selection process will initially be used to fill the above fixed-term vacancy, it may also be used to fill other similar vacancies throughout the health service. If the successful applicant declines or vacates the advertised vacancy, the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. The pool remains valid for twelve (12) months from the date the recruitment decision is endorsed. Appointments may be made from this pool until 30/09/2026.

About our CAMHS Directorates

- Community CAMHS - Community CAMHS offers mental health assessment and multidisciplinary intervention for children and young people up to the age of 18 years.
- Specialist Services and Day Programs - The Specialist Services and Day Programs consist of Complex Attention and Hyperactivity Disorder Service, Multisystemic Therapy, Pathways and Touchstone. These programs support children and young people who have complex mental health needs.
- Acute CAMHS - Acute CAMHS, based at Perth Children's Hospital, has a mental health inpatient unit (Ward 5A), Paediatric Psychiatric Inpatient In-Reach Team (PPIRT), Eating Disorder Service and Gender Diversity Service.
