About the Role
As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and plating high-quality dishes in line with our established menus. You will ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met while maintaining an organised and efficient workspace. Working closely with our Head Chef and Sous Chef, you'll be a key part of our team delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes, ensuring consistency and high quality.
* Monitor food presentation, freshness, and portion control.
* Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
* Maintain clean and organised kitchen workstations and equipment.
* Assist with stock rotation, food storage, and inventory management.
* Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
* Follow workplace health and safety procedures, including manual handling and hazard reporting.
What We're Looking For
* Relevant Experience – At least one year of full-time experience in a similar role within a commercial kitchen.
* Culinary Skills – Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and ingredient handling.
* Attention to Detail – A commitment to consistency, presentation, and quality control.
* Time Management – Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
* Team Player – Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Flexibility – Availability to work a rotating roster including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Required Qualifications
* Food Handling Certificate (mandatory).
* Valid C Class Driver's Licence (preferred).
