**Your New Career as a Change Manager**:
Surf Coast Shire Council is investing in business reform through the use of technology that is led by our Digital Transformation team. To help us grow in our Digital Transformation journey, Council is seeking a talented and dynamic Change Manager to join the team.
- As a Change Manager, you will:_
- prepare a well-developed and executable organisational change management plan for every DT project
- ensure that an effective communications and training plan exists to support the change by working closely with the Council's business areas and SMEs
- document existing and future business processes and identify gaps including skills, knowledge, resourcing, capacity, capability that need to be addressed through change management
- ensure business readiness to implement the transformational activities by working with the business areas
- conduct impact assessments and risks identification activities
- identify barriers to change and provide effective solution options to address them
- prepare communications material by working closely with the Councils Communication's team
- prepare relevant training material working closely with the DT/IT teams, SMEs and Council's Learning and Development team
- ensure that DT projects are setup for success and that the project plans are supported with well-defined change management activities and tasks
- deliver change management activities as agreed as part of the project objectives
The role is currently a 12 month contract, however, the role may be extended beyond that date.
**Mandatory Requirements (Skills & Experience)**
- A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process using best practice principles, methodologies and tools e.g. PROSCI
- 3+ years of experience implementing successful organisational changes and achieving effective outcomes. To include:
- Assessing change impacts and completing change management readiness assessments, scheduling tasks, tracking and reporting issues
- Building training materials, consulting with and coaching teams and supporting training efforts.
- Identifying, analysing and preparing risk mitigation plans
- Identifying and managing areas of resistance and barriers to change
- Creating deliverables e.g. (Stakeholder Plan, Communications Plan and Training Plan)
- Experience of integrating change management activities into project implementation plans
- Management of stakeholders
- Defining and measuring benefits/success metrics and monitoring of change progress
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to build communication materials and support communication efforts.
**Desirable Qualifications and Experience**
- Previous experience in managing and supporting organisational changes related to CRM, Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365 platforms implementations
- Experience in working in Local, State or Federal Government environments
- Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
