Facility Maintenance Project Officer
A leading local government organisation is seeking an experienced Facility Maintenance Project Officer to support the delivery of minor capital works across a broad portfolio of community facilities. This position plays a key role in ensuring that buildings remain safe, functional and fit for purpose for the community.
About the Role
In this position you will manage and deliver minor capital works, including building component renewals, refurbishments and facility upgrades. You will supervise contractors on site, oversee safety and compliance and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within approved budgets.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver minor capital works projects using established project management processes
Prepare project briefs, scopes of work, specifications and tender documentation
Coordinate and supervise contractors, ensuring safety, quality and compliance
Monitor and report on progress, expenditure and contractor performance
Support ongoing improvements to project management systems and procedures
Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders and facility users
Required Skills and Experience
Experience in Facility Management
Strong stakeholder engagement skills
Experience in procedure delivery
Knowledge of building construction techniques and maintenance practices
Ability to communicate technical information clearly
Strong organisational and project management skills
Mandatory Requirement
Must hold a current White Card
Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Building Construction, Engineering or a related discipline, or significant relevant experience
Current Victorian driving licence

Hourly Rate: $61.94 +Super
