The Role
The Inventory Supervisor will oversee the entire inventory function, focusing on developing continuous improvement initiatives and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement initiatives to maximize operational efficiencies and site profitability;
2. Lead cross-functional projects to deliver improvement opportunities, guided by the Site Manager;
3. Establish best practices and oversee the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
4. Ensure inventory integrity, manage stocktake programs, and oversee audit outcomes;
5. Manage the distribution centre's slotting program to optimize stock placement, improve picking efficiency, and reduce damages and stock loss;
6. Enhance stock integrity across Manhattan WMS and coordinate stock cycle counting;
7. Ensure all stock conforms to standards, including labeling, dimensions, and location;
8. Oversee stock movement procedures to maintain stock integrity;
9. Lead and develop Inventory Controllers, including performance management and recruitment;
10. Ensure compliance with HACCP, quality, and food safety standards, including inventory recall procedures;
11. Maintain Occupational Health & Safety compliance;
12. Manage inventory adjustments responsibly.
Qualifications and Skills
1. Extensive knowledge of warehouse, distribution, and inventory operations;
2. Strong leadership and team management skills;
3. Experience managing complex, multi-channel environments with a focus on customer service;
4. Ability to develop SOPs and improve processes through analysis and project management;
5. Knowledge of HACCP, OH&S, and cold storage processes;
6. Business acumen with experience in inventory adjustments;
7. Attention to detail and excellent communication skills;
8. Proficiency in inventory management systems;
9. Self-motivated and autonomous work ethic.
