The Portfolio Insights team at ARENA plays a vital role in bridging the gap between project outcomes and industry action, ensuring that the lessons and insights drive meaningful progress toward a net zero emissions future. Through a combination of strategic engagement, knowledge management, and impactful communication, we work to deliver maximum value to stakeholders across the energy transition landscape.
How we achieve this:
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key energy sector decision makers to facilitate knowledge exchange and drive collaborative solutions for the transition to net zero.
* Strategy development: Work with the Strategy team to set priority objectives for delivering portfolio insights
* Early engagement with projects: Collaborate with the Investment team and project proponents to develop robust knowledge sharing that maximise value for industry and stakeholders.
* Convening Stakeholders: Bring together stakeholders for events such as roundtables, insights forums, and workshops to share knowledge and foster collaboration across the energy sector.
* Commissioning Novel Analyses and Reports: Identify emerging knowledge gaps and commission targeted analyses and reports to address critical challenges in the energy transition.
* Navigating Policy and Regulation: Ensure internal stakeholders are informed about policy activities and insights relevant to ARENA's Priority Areas, and engage with external stakeholders to address policy and regulatory barriers.
* Publishing High-Impact Reports: Work with the Corporate Affairs team to publish high-quality publications that share key findings, case studies, and actionable recommendations from ARENA-funded projects.

We take a portfolio approach to Portfolio Insights to ensure that we're able to collect, analyse and share themes and trends in a way that ensures it is useful to stakeholders, both at the individual project level and the broader industry.
Portfolios are based on either a technology, a funding round or a focus area that ARENA has or will invest in.
About the position
The Portfolio Insights Manager is responsible for generating high-impact portfolio-level insights that inform ARENA strategy development and investment decisions, as well as industry decision making. Sitting within an Impact Team comprised of one or more of ARENA's strategic priorities and focus areas while connected to the broader Portfolio Insights functional network, this role translates project-level data into meaningful portfolio insights, designs and delivers knowledge products, and shares insights with stakeholders to influence actions aligned with ARENA's mission.

What we are looking for
Knowledge and experience
* Knowledge and experience in the renewable energy sector is essential l. Specific experience in Hydrogen and/or Solar areas is desirable.
* Demonstrated expertise in generating insights from complex data, research, or project outcomes.
* Proven ability to lead complex projects or programs related to knowledge sharing, portfolio insights, or renewable energy innovation.
Skills and capabilities
* Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with experience collaborating across teams and influencing external stakeholders.
* Demonstrated resilience, proactive problem-solving, and capacity to deliver under pressure.
