About The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a high‐impact role offering strong exposure to both operational and strategic decision‐making within a growing global business.
You'll take the lead on management reporting, forecasting, and commercial analysis, while partnering closely with senior leadership and operations teams in Mackay, QLD. Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and deliver accurate, insightful monthly management accounts and performance analysis
* Lead month‐end processes, including reconciliations, intercompany settlements, Tax/GST compliance, COGS and revenue analysis across multiple entities
* Drive budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis—turning data into actionable insights
* Partner with operational teams to improve understanding of financial performance
* Strengthen product costing, inventory management, and labour recovery processes
* Support commercial decision‐making including pricing, capital investments, and new opportunities
* Monitor cash flow and working capital to support business stability and growth
* Identify process improvements to enhance financial controls, reporting efficiency, and data integrity
* Contribute to statutory reporting, audits, and compliance requirements
About You
You are an experienced Management Accountant with a proven ability to deliver accurate, timely reporting and analysis that drives both operational and financial performance. You enjoy partnering with production teams, translating financial results into clear insights that support informed decision‐making. You thrive in a fast‐paced environment and are confident balancing hands‐on analysis with a broader commercial perspective.
Skills & Experience
* CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent) with a degree in Accounting, Finance or similar
* 5+ years' experience in management accounting, ideally in manufacturing, engineering or FMCG
* Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
* Solid understanding of cost accounting, inventory, and operational finance
* Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience (knowledge of Pronto or D365 highly regarded)
* Proven ability to translate data into meaningful business insights
* High attention to detail combined with a continuous improvement mindset
* Strong communication skills and confidence working with non‐finance stakeholders
* Proactive mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast‐paced, evolving environment.
