About the Role:
This role could be permanent part time or in a contractor capacity in outreach at schools or within our premises at our Old Beach Service, 7017
Role Description
The therapist will provide specialised support to children and their families, utilising techniques such as play therapy and humanistic counselling to foster emotional growth and resilience. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, creating individualized treatment plans, facilitating therapy sessions, and collaborating with caregivers and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care is provided.
Qualifications
* Expertise in working directly with children and young people in a mental health setting and an understanding of developmental needs
* Knowledgeable in Mental Health practices and providing psychological support
* Proficiency in Case Management and coordinating care across various stakeholders
* Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills
* Relevant degree or certification in psychology, social work, or a related field
* Registration with an accredited professional association is an advantage
