Description

About The Position

Location: Whyalla

Status: Casual – Multiple Positions – Excluding initial training, all shifts are on weekends

Closing Date for Applications: 2nd February 2026

The Children's Contact Service (CCS) is a child safe, child focused service that provides a family friendly environment to support children in maintaining or developing a positive, meaningful relationship with the parent or family member that they do not reside with.

As the Contact Facilitator, you will facilitate safe, child friendly, supervised contact or changeovers. This will include:

* Promoting the safety and welfare of the child during supervised changeovers and contact visits.
* Promoting the safety of a vulnerable parent at contact changeovers.
* Facilitating child/parent and child/sibling interaction while contact is taking place.

Skills and Experiences

You will:

* Possess strong written and verbal communication styles and highly developed observational skills.
* Have the ability to work within the specific guidelines of the service to ensure the safety of all people involved in a supervised contact visit/handover.
* Have demonstrated experience working in a team environment.
* Be willing to work at short.

It is essential for you to have:

* Current Australian Drivers Licence.
* Relevant experience, in a paid or voluntary capacity.

A Certificate IV (or above) in a Human Services related discipline is desirable.

You may also need to be available for some out of hours work and travel between Uniting Country SA sites or interstate as required.
