Overview

Balcombe Grammar School is an independent co-educational Foundation to Year 12 school located in Mount Martha on the Mornington Peninsula.

We are seeking an experienced strings teacher to provide instrumental lessons to students in both the Primary and Secondary School commencing Term 2.

Responsibilities

* Teach individual and shared instrumental lessons.
* Assist with ensembles and attend soirees and other school events throughout the year.
* Current time-fraction is one day per week with the anticipation of growth moving forward (teaching day is flexible).
* Develop a string ensemble.

Qualifications and requirements

* Demonstrate success in developing and retaining instrumental students.
* Be willing to work in conjunction with the Instrumental Music Programs Leader to promote continual growth of the Instrumental Music Program.
* Hold suitable tertiary qualifications in music or education, or have sufficient, relevant experience, and either be VIT registered or hold a current Working With Children Check.
