Lead Senior Geotechnical Engineer
At our high-performing Underground Technical Services team, we have a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Lead Senior Geotechnical Engineer. This senior position involves mentoring a team of geotechnical engineers, developing work plans and processes, conceptualising and implementing improvement projects, and providing advice and direction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and mentor a team of geotechnical engineers to achieve technical excellence in underground mining areas.
* Develop functional work plans and processes for the geotechnical department to ensure efficient project delivery.
* Conceptualise, initiate, present and implement specific geotechnical improvement projects that meet business objectives.
* Provide expert geotechnical advice and direction to colleagues in planned and active underground mining areas.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in geotechnical engineering or equivalent.
* Current manual drivers licence.
* Experience with mine design software - Deswik.
* Proven underground geotechnical experience in mechanised hard-rock underground mines.
