iL MATTO is a busy Italian restaurant with a casual dynamic kitchen in beautiful Torquay on Victoria's Surf Cost.
We are looking for a passionate Chef with extensive industry knowledge and experience, with organisation skills that allow you to deliver consistent and quality food in a fast paced and high volume environment.
Skills & experience
* Must have experience in Italian cuisine
* Minimum 2 years experience
* Ability to work well under pressure while still delivering consistent high quality food
* Ability to work as a team player or independently to achieve results
* Quick thinking and problem-solving abilities
* Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
* Strong Food Safety experience
* Flexible availability - weekends, public holidays, and nights
Tasks & responsibilities
* Ensure quality control
* Maintaining a safe and clean kitchen environment
* Food service and preparation
* Assist and collaborate with the Executive Chef
* Opportunities to contribute creatively
This role is very much hands-on, requiring attention to detail and a positive work attitude.
