This role sits at the intersection of engineering, innovation, and business development, turning customer problems into actionable, high-impact solutions.Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:Designing and developing effective, fit-for-purpose solutions for electrical infrastructure projects, including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and grid connections (HVC/LVC).Collaborating with clients to uncover project needs and build value-based, technically viable solutions that meet commercial expectations.Documenting solutions through technical specifications, drawings, and delivery timelines.Work closely with internal teams across engineering, delivery, commercial and legal to ensure alignment on project goals.Deliver technical solution reports and presentations to both internal and external stakeholders, offering insights and actionable recommendations.Enhance the solution development process with tools, automation, and continuous improvement.Apply structured sales methodologies such as Shipley, Holden Power Base Selling, or consultative selling techniques to strengthen value propositions.Spark our interest!Our hiring decisions are not only based on your experience and skills, but your passion, attitude, and alignment to our core values.We’re looking for a skilled and motivated professional with tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience, who is ready to take on a key role in developing and delivering innovative energy solutions. You’ll bring proven knowledge and hands-on experience in the electrical sector, particularly in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and high-voltage grid connections (HVC), along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you’ll be working closely with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders to craft and present technical solutions. You should also be proficient in using solution development software and tools, with the ability to produce detailed, customer-focused electrical solutions that effectively address client pain points.We’re particularly interested in candidates who have been involved in winning, designing, and delivering electrical infrastructure projects that include HV connections and/or BESS installations that cover; small scale (0-1 MW), medium (1-5 MW), or large grid scale (5-150 MW) BESS. Experience with contestable works for distribution/transmission networks (including ASP projects) or heavy vehicle charging infrastructure is highly valued.Bonus points if you’ve contributed to successful projects involving key companies in the energy transition sector. Experience delivering 150+ MW grid-scale BESS projects or fast-charging infrastructure for buses and trucks is a strong advantage.
