Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our team at Tropicana Gold Mine. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with experience in accounting practices, particularly in SAP requisitioning, service entry, and purchase order analysis.
The successful candidate will provide site-wide accounts services, including purchase requisitions, service entries, and end-of-month finance support. They will also be responsible for monitoring invoices, liaising with managers on payment approval, and maintaining SOX control files.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide a purchase requisitioning and service entry support service to operational personnel.
* Monitor invoices and liaise with managers on payment approval and accounts payable.
* Prepare accruals based on services received but not invoiced.
* Assist with month-end tasks and journals.
* Complete general ledger account reconciliations.
* Provide monthly cost reports to operational personnel.
* Cordinate timely completion of weekly and monthly reports.
* Maintain SOX control files and comply with management systems and processes.
* Maintain accounts receivable and contractor back charges.
About You
* You have a good understanding of basic accounting practices.
* You have previous experience in SAP requisitioning, service entry, and purchase order analysis.
* You possess MS Office software skills, particularly in MS Excel and Word.
* You have good verbal and written English communication skills.
* You demonstrate attention to accuracy and detail.
* You are able to work collaboratively with other departments to achieve business goals.
* You have previous mine site experience (although this is not essential).
* You have experience dealing with auditors and audit preparation.
* You are able to work under pressure to ensure deadlines are met.
* You have unrestricted work rights in Australia.
