About the Role:
As Head Chef, you will take full responsibility for kitchen operations including menu development, cost control, staffing, training, and service standards. You will lead from the front during busy services, ensuring quality, consistency, and efficiency across all sections.
Key responsibilities include:
* Menu planning and seasonal updates
* Managing COGS, wage budgets, and supplier relationships
* Leading, mentoring, and rostering a diverse kitchen team
* Maintaining food safety and compliance standards
* Driving kitchen culture and performance
Your Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or strong Sous ready to step up
* Background in high-volume pub, bistro, or casual dining environments
* Strong understanding of food cost control and kitchen financials
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining standards
* Sound knowledge of food safety and compliance
