Graduate Engineer role supporting Process Safety Management projects in Perth, Australia, with Thornton Tomasetti's Applied Science team.
Your role
Responsibilities
* Supporting projects in the field of Process Safety Management within the Applied Science team.
* Engaging with clients, including Oil & Gas and petrochemical operators, EPCM contractors, specialized consultants, and industry bodies.
* Participating in activities such as Fire Load Response Analysis, hydrocarbon fire and gas dispersion modeling, safety management systems and auditing, safety case support, risk assessment (qualitative and quantitative), advanced fluid flow modeling, seismic assessment and design, and blast analysis for critical infrastructure.
* Collaborating with global teams and engaging with clients from the early stages of your career.
* Contributing to research, mathematical modeling, software development, and design to manage risks to life safety in various sectors.
About you
Qualifications
* A minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Physics, or Applied Mathematics.
* Excellent understanding of fundamental principles and strong problem-solving ability.
* Programming skills and knowledge of statistical techniques (advantageous).
* Willingness to learn new skills and openness to innovative solutions.
* A passion for tackling new and interesting problems.
