Newton Moore Senior High School provides students from Years 7 to 12 with a personalised educational experience. The school, at the heart of South Bunbury, has a strong sense of community and celebrates the strengths of students through a variety of innovative programs.

Our school vision is: 'Achieving Today, for Tomorrow'. We have strong links with a range of partners within the education community, parents, government and non-government agencies, and industries. We work with these groups to improve student outcomes.

To be successful in the role, suitable applicants will use robust communication, interpersonal and leadership skills to develop and promote the school’s values, ethos, and priorities across the school community.

The successful applicants should possess the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with staff, students, and teachers. They will ideally have a strong knowledge of a range of evidence-based techniques for learning and behaviour, including experience or understanding of disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Applicants should be compassionate and able to work collaboratively to implement documented plans. They should also have the ability to support Aboriginal and English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EALD) students through culturally responsive and inclusive practices.

Eligibility

- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start.
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.

Application Instructions

Apply online in two easy steps:

1. Complete the online application form, including details of two (2) work related referees, preferably one being your current line manager.
2. Attach your documents, including a CV and a statement addressing the selection criteria.

Your application must be received before the closing date and time. Late applications will not be accepted.

Equity and Diversity

We are committed to an inclusive and culturally responsive workforce reflecting the diversity in our schools and the Western Australian community. We welcome and encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, young people, people of diverse sexualities and genders, people with disability, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
