We are partnering with a respected, values-driven organisation based in Adelaide’s southern suburbs to recruit an experienced Finance Assistant who will take ownership of Bookkeeping & Payroll. About the Opportunity Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of financial operations. This position is responsible for end-to-end payroll support for more than 250 employees, along with bookkeeping, reconciliations, and compliance reporting. Payroll Administration Assist with end-to-end payroll processing for 250 employees. Ensure accuracy of timesheets, pay rates, allowances, deductions, and entitlements. Set up new employees and maintain payroll records. Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and standards. Respond to payroll enquiries and liaise with internal stakeholders. Prepare payroll reports and assist with reporting obligations. Bookkeeping & Financial Administration Process accounts payable and receivable. Prepare and issue invoices and follow up outstanding debtors. Reconcile bank accounts and financial records. Process employee expense reimbursements. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial data. Reporting, Compliance & Support Prepare financial and payroll reports. Identify discrepancies and escalate as required. Assist with the preparation and lodgement of BAS and other ATO and ACNC reports. Support audits and government reporting requirements. Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes. Qualifications & Experience Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in bookkeeping or payroll. Proven experience in payroll processing. Demonstrated bookkeeping and accounting experience. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with digital accounting and payroll systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, supported by strong organisational and time management skills. They will possess the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, along with professional communication and interpersonal abilities. A high level of integrity and confidentiality is essential. Success in this role will be measured by the accurate and timely processing of payroll, precise bookkeeping and reconciliations, compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, and the prompt, professional handling of finance and payroll enquiries.
