Midwife Career Opportunity in Remote NT Communities
We are seeking a skilled Registered Midwife to provide culturally safe, high-quality care in remote Northern Territory communities.
Job Description:
The NT Remote Locum Program is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-led workforce program dedicated to strengthening healthcare services in remote communities across the Northern Territory. We are looking for a Registered Midwife/RN with experience in delivering treatment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote NT communities. This locum-based role offers short-term placements where you will work on-site in remote clinics, collaborating with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff.
* Fully paid locum placements ranging from 3 to 12 weeks based in remote NT communities with travel and accommodation covered.
* Cultural orientation and 24/7 support to help transition into remote healthcare.

Requirements:
* Evidence of unrestricted registration as registered nurse and registered midwife with AHPRA.
* Minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience in midwifery.
* Minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience as a Registered Nurse.
* Minimum of 250 hours of relevant clinical experience within the past 12 months.
* Current CPR/BLS certification.
* Current recognized Immunisation certificate.
* Current Northern Territory Working with Children's Card or willingness to obtain.
