Emergency Response Specialist
This role involves working in a flexible capacity as an Emergency Response Specialist. You will be part of the team responsible for ensuring the safety of people and property through prevention, preparation, response, and recovery activities.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to work effectively as part of a team, and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing skills acquisition and maintenance. They will also be able to operate specialist equipment safely and effectively.
Australian Permanent Resident Status is mandatory for this role, and applicants must live or work within a reasonable distance of the emergency response station. A manual C Class driver's licence is also required, along with employer's written consent to attend incidents and emergencies where applicable.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond to emergency incidents as a member of a team
* Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through education and outreach activities
* Develop and maintain competencies through drills and training to ensure safety and effectiveness on the emergency scene
* Maintain attendance standards for emergency incidents and training
* Operate specialist equipment safely and effectively
