As an Eye Care Team Leader, you will play a key role in delivering high quality optical services to our members and customers. This is a hands‐on leadership role supporting the daily operations of the Eye Care store while working closely with Optometrists and the Eye Care Coordinator.
You will provide expert dispensing services, lead and support Optical Dispensers, and ensure excellent customer experiences through strong product knowledge, attention to detail and a commitment to service standards.
Key responsibilities
* Support the daily operation of the Eye Care store and lead Optical Dispensers
* Dispense spectacles, contact lenses, sunglasses and accessories in accordance with prescriptions
* Assist customers with frame selection, fittings, adjustments and minor repairs
* Provide expert advice on lens types, coatings, tints and sunglass options
* Maintain accurate stock control including ordering, receipting and stocktakes
* Assist in achieving store targets across appointments, sales and expenses
* Respond to customer enquiries and complaints promptly and professionally
* Support the promotion of Westfund Eye Care services and cross‐selling opportunities
* Ensure compliance with WHS, privacy and operational procedures
Skills & experience
* Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing (desirable but not essential)
* Demonstrated experience in optical dispensing or a similar role
* Strong customer service skills with a member‐focused approach
* Ability to lead, support and work collaboratively within a team
* Sound knowledge of frames, lenses, coatings and tints
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
