Job Title: Recreation Development Officer
About the Position:
The Recreation Development Officer will play a vital role in enhancing local communities by building capacity, driving projects, and identifying funding opportunities that boost participation in sport and recreation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead projects that build the capacity of Committees of Management.
* Develop policies, standards, and guidelines for recreation facilities and services.
* Support the planning, design, and delivery of key recreation projects.
* Build positive relationships with community groups, lessees, and stakeholders.
* Undertake research and prepare reports to support effective decision making.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualification or experience in recreation planning or a related field.
* Strong project management and community engagement skills.
* Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders and Committees of Management.
* Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
