Job Overview
North Regional TAFE are seeking to establish an open recruitment pool for a full‑time permanent lecturer position in health and nursing. The pool will allow suitable applicants to be appointed as vacancies arise at either Karratha or Pundulmurra campus, with flexibility to negotiate location and contract type.
The position will deliver health and nursing qualifications such as 52895WA Certificate IV in Preparation for Health and Nursing Studies and HLT54121 Diploma of Nursing, including associated short courses and skill sets.
How to apply

* Applications are assessed every 3 months, varying with operational needs.
* Only those assessed as suitable will be considered for the pool. Appointment from the pool is not guaranteed.
* You will be advised if you have been recommended for the pool or were unsuccessful.
* Appointments may be made from this pool until 4 July 2027.
Eligibility and Conditions
* Eligibility for employment requires a satisfactory Department of Education Criminal Clearance. If the position involves contact with children, a Working with Children Card is required.
* Australian citizenship, relevant visa or permanent residency is required.
* Applicants must obtain the required clearances before appointment.
Requirements
* Significant relevant industry/ vocational or lecturing experience (minimum of 5 years).
* Relevant vocational qualifications and/or competencies at least to the level to be delivered, including:
o At least 5 years' experience, including recent experience in a Nursing or health role;
o Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent; or health professional with experience in a health or health science field;
o AHPRA registration as applicable.
* Preferred: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or willingness to progress toward it.

Lecturing staff employed in 2025 are eligible to receive a Temporary Regional Incentive of $15,000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE). Eligible staff will receive a percentage on commencement at NRTAFE, with the remainder paid on the anniversary of start date. Staff must remain employed in the location for 12 months to be eligible for the second payment.
