Job Description
Point Care is a dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities.
Position Summary:
* provide support to clients in accordance withtheir NDIS plan.
* Assistclients with daily living activities, such as eating,dressing, bathing and grooming.
* Provide transportation assistance to clients.
* Provide respite care to clients and theirfamilies.
* Keep accurate andup to date records or clients' care plans andprogress.
* Communicateeffectively with clients, their families, and other membersof the care team.
* Followhealth and safety regulations to ensure the safety andwell-being of clients.
* Participate in ongoing professional development to staycurrent with latest developments and best practices in the NDISfield.
Requirements
* Amenable to start ASAP!
* A valid Blue Card & Yellow Card
* Certificate 3 or 4 in individual supportor willing to work towards completion(highlyregarded).
* Lived experienceor paid experience working with people with disability.
* With open availability - Day shift, night shifts, sleepovers andweekends.
* Prior experience working with Child Safety clients, or willingness to work with one.
* Prior experience working with mental health, or willing to work with one.
* At least high school, or the equivalent.
* Strongunderstanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
* Understanding of health and safetyregulations.
* Ability to workwith a diverse client base, understanding the differentsupport needs of clients based on their abilities, culturalbackgrounds, and language requirements.
* Basic care and first aid skills.
* Strong computer skills, including proficiency in microsoftoffice suite.
* Access toongoing training and development opportunities.
