The role of Solution Architect is to lead and deliver complex, multi-domain architecture and cloud solutions, focusing on Azure, Up-to-date Work, Web Development, Data & AI, DevOps, and integration with on‑premises infrastructure, security and other applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop a network of senior‑level decision‑makers, act as a trusted advisor, and provide direction to facilitate relationships.
- Use evidence‑based arguments to articulate complex concepts simply and challenge decisions that do not produce optimal results.
- Lead the adoption and differentiation of Microsoft solutions, influencing industry direction.
- Lead virtual teams, share ideas and insights, and mentor junior colleagues.
- Gather requirements, resolve ambiguities, maintain documentation, and execute test plans.
- Collaborate with the Account Team to build costed solution approaches and lead implementation.
- Identify and address technical blockers, business and technical risks, and develop mitigation plans.
- Apply structured approaches (Waterfall, Agile, Iterative) and deliver innovative solutions to multiple customers.
- Coordinate teams of architects and communicate architecture to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Project Managers on governance and quality control, demonstrating business value to customers.
- Represent customers as an advocate and share insights with Product Engineering.
Qualifications
- Driven self‑starter with perseverance, growth mindset, technical intensity and passion for learning.
- Ability to define and articulate architectural design principles and lead teams of architects delivering complex solutions.
- Executive communication skills and ability to present technical ideas in a business context.
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, providing vision and tangible deliverables.
- Experience evaluating architectural trade‑offs with technical and commercial lenses.
- Proven ability to deliver complex Agile IT projects in changing environments.
Minimum Required Experiences
- 10+ years experience, including at least 2 years of hands‑on software development, infrastructure engineering, integration or systems architecture.
- Experience developing solutions in multi‑domain architecture (cloud platforms, web, mobile, integration, API, event‑driven, data, analytics, security, DevOps).
- Understanding of industry verticals such as Public Sector.
- Large enterprise program experience with Agile methodologies focused on business or digital transformation.
